Grants Expand Healthcare for Massachusetts Residents

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation seeks to expand access to healthcare for low-income and vulnerable residents of Massachusetts. The Foundation’s Special Initiatives grants provide one-time support of up to $50,000 for innovative projects throughout the state that expand access to healthcare for low-income consumers. The priorities are to protect the availability of coverage and care for the most vulnerable people in the state, and to support linkages between social services in housing and food security and healthcare that help to improve outcomes for residents. Funded programs should also advance knowledge about a healthcare issue aligned with the Foundation’s strategic focus areas including coverage and care, behavioral health, and social equity and health. The deadlines for 2019 are February 15, April 26, and July 19. Visit the Foundation’s website to download the grant guidelines and submit an online application.
